Darfur

Wow! What are we going to do about this situation? This is really late in the game I realize, but this tragedy has gone on long enough. We must somehow become a huge voice to our government and to other peace loving governments around the world. I want to encourage you to get active in this situation. Do some research and write congress and the White House about the Darfur situation in Sudan and demand action.

if readers will go to http://www.savedarfur.org then they can send a post card to pres. bush immediately. if they are interested in the uganda conflict they can go to http://www.invisiblechildren.com/theMission/faq …these FAQ’S apply to both situations. i also do alot through OXFAM. these are not Christian sites…they are politically motivated and are working against victimization and working through the civil agencies that we should work through. it just takes a little time.

thanks for posting this. i have written several letters to officials (senators & president bush) and have received responses. we NEED to advocate for these individuals. the invisible children is also a great resource. they really are victims…we can be a voice for them…it is our Christian duty. i also had one of my daughters (Ellie -4) participate in the invisible children “walk” with me and had her write a letter and draw a picture for some of the children who are being victimized. we have to pray for these people who bleed the same blood that we bleed – and feel the same pain as we do.
