I have been reading a couple of different books lately. I am always interested in what people are reading, so let me know your book of choice. I am presently reading, The Starbucks Expereince by Jospeh Michelli.

You may be a magazine reader, tell me what magazine you enjoyI also am reading Relevant, a magazine about todays culture.

I am not a big reader, but got a few books for Christmas. I finished Left To Tell by Immaculee Ilibagiza. It was AMAZING. Along the lines of The Hiding Place (one of my all time favs), but in Rwanda. Since Africa is close to my heart, it was especially great to me!

I have never heard of this book. Is it a true story? Sounds interesting.

It is a true story–very interesting. It is mainly about her spiritual journey through 3 months of living in a small bathroom with 7 women–while being hunted.

As an avid reader, I too am always interested in what others are reading. Thanks for asking the question. I recently finished Vicki Courtney’s book called Your Girl: Raising a Godly Daughter in an Ungodly World. It was a good reminder of the things I need to be doing as a mother of daughters.Right now, I’m reading Laura Bush: An Intimate Portrait of the First Lady by Ronald Kessler. It’s an interesting look at her life. I’m enjoying it. Next to read is a novel titled Milk Glass Moon by Adriana Trigiani. I’ve read her before and love her books…southern fiction with wonderfully quirky characters.

I’m currently reading Uprising: A Revolution of the Soul by Erwin McManus. Rick and I had the opportunity to hear him speak in the fall and were so taken with him that we bought two of his books that weekend. He may be the most riveting speaker I’ve ever heard. The other book, which we’ve already read, is The Barbarian Way. That book had such a profound effect on us both that we’ve bought mutliple copies and are passing them among our friends….we think everyone needs to read it. Rick even made it required reading for Olivia before she went to Brazil. After I finish this one, I’m going to get Soul Cravings, just released in November. McManus has quickly become one of my favorite authors. Have you ever read any of his stuff?

KG,I am reading Donald Miller’s “To Own a Dragon.” The subtitle is “Reflections on Growing Up Without a Father.” If you haven’t read it, you need to. So much of it reminds me of what we talked about in Men’s Fraternity last semester.Scott
