Thank you to all who were part of the Spirit Night at Chick-fil-a in Murfreesboro last night. The boys, Evan and Peyton, were so encouraged by your support and friendship. There was a great sense of community in the store as we laughed and had a good time with friends.
Each year our Helping Hands Ministry sponsors an Angel Tree. Ray King, who leads the Helping Hands ministry, has pre-screened applicants that have children and need help purchasing gifts for Christmas. This year our church has already sponsored 150 children from the Angel Tree. Thank you for helping these kids during the holidays.
But…..there are 150 children still on the tree who need a sponsor. This coming Sunday (Dec. 13) is the last Sunday to pick a child from the tree. I am asking you to jump in and help. The Helping Hands team suggests purchasing a set of clothes and a small toy, nothing elaborate. You can stop by the church office this week and pick up a name also at your convenience. Let’s make sure these kids are sponsored.

The Sending Church Campaign is about to close. We have been in a very unique series for the past 3 weeks @LifePoint Church where Pat has challenged us to be active in the sending process as a church (corporately) and as individuals by giving financially above and beyond our tithe. People have responded overwhelmingly in a positive way with comments about finally realizing the importance of sending to international cities where Christ is not recognized Lord.
One question that continues to be asked and I want to help answer concerns financial partnership with individual missionarieschurch planters from our church. The question has been phrased like this, “If my family is giving to support/partner with a certain family will that money be counted toward the overall goal of $1.5 million dollars the church is raising?” This is a good question and I have a very short and easy answer.
YES!!
Any financial partnership that a LifePoint member/attender makes with one of our church planters on the Bangkok or Belgium teams will be counted as part of the overall goal of $1.5 million. Please make sure and write the family name and country on the commitment card so the financial office can make sure it is directed as desired. You also need to let the church planting family know of the partnership you are desiring with them.
The dollars that are committed to a LifePoint church planting family is designated to that family as salary support. Any dollars that are committed to The Sending Church Campaign that are not designated to a church planting family will go toward ministry budgets and the planting of future local and international churches/campuses.
I am looking forward to turning in our family’s commitment card and bringing an initial offering this Sunday. Join with us as Lifepoint “sends the church to be the church where there is no church.”
We are excited to invite you to a day of dialogue, learning and catalyzing a movement for the Kingdom across the globe. The Sending Church is a growing conversation of how the local church can be the center point for missions sending — sending the church to be the church where there is no church. Pastors, Church Planters, Missions Guys and Church Leaders will have the opportunity to hear and interact with leaders who are developing strategies and practical steps for how the church can reach the unreached in the coming decades.
The guys from UpStream Collective are with us for a few days to train our team members for their European mission. Go out and read about them on their blog. They are doing a good work and we will soon be partnering together for The Sending Church Conference…more to come later.
They have recently highlighted LifePoint on their blog so go check it out.
Lord willing, I will one day be in Belgium working to spread the Name of Christ to those who do not know Him as Lord. Even though I will not live in a 10/40 window country I think we need to have Ms there spreading the Fame of His Name . I never want to be so narrow focused to think that “real missions” happens in “hard places”. I hope people will have a wider view of mission than just what happens in the 10/40 window. In fact, God is sending people from the “hard places” to live in other parts of the world so they can hear His story. I hope this video encourages and inspires you to be involved in His mission.
Beginning Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm in the auditorium we will offer a 3 week series called In The Know. This series is designed for all parents and grandparents to help them be in the know concerning their next gen preschooler, child, or student living in their home. God has given us a great task in raising those He has entrusted to us in a way that is honoring to Him. There are so many hindrances and obstacles in our world today that fight against us accomplishing our task and we want to help you succeed in parenting.
There are many grandparents who are raising or helping to raise their grand-children and our staff team wants to help you understand the day and times in which you are living and how you can navigate the issues your child or student are facing. Parents and grandparents, make sure you are in the auditorium ready to go @6:30 pm on Wednesday and bring a friend with you who may be struggling with parental challenges. We want to encourage each person that they can effectively raise the kids that God has given them.

Belgium is a country of influence, being the capital of both the European Union and NATO. Yet less than .5 percent of the nation’s 10 million people follow Christ.
Discover LifePoint (DLP) is the class people must take to become a member of LifePoint Church or to find out more about the church. During Discover LifePoint those who attend learn about the vision of the church, the values of the church and the expectations of the church. At the end of each session those who are attending are given the opportunity to begin the membership process for LifePoint Church.
The requirements for membership at LifePoint Church are; each person must have submitted their life to Jesus as Savior, followed Him in believer’s baptism and completed Discover LifePoint. Everyone who attends Discover LifePoint do not join the church, but everyone who desires join LifePoint must attend the class. DLP is a great place to start learning about who we are as a church and why we practice the things do here at LifePoint.
Since July 1 we have had 94 people complete the Discover LifePoint class and 78 people have begun the process for completing membership. This is incredible, 83% of the people who attend DLP began the process.
The class is offered on the First and Second Sundays of each month. You can choose one of the sessions to attend and register online. I hope to see you in a few weeks in the next DLP.
